A leading automation solutions company in Hamilton, Ontario is seeking an experienced Electrician to support the build and integration of custom automation solutions. Applicants should have at least 5 years of experience, relevant qualifications in electrical work, and the ability to troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic circuits. Responsible for working as part of Automation Group Canada. Support the build, Integration and support of custom automation solutions within Canada and abroad.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE:
A Certificate of Qualification as an Electrician (442A or 309A) and relevant industrial experience
Minimum 5 years of related experience in Canada is preferred.
Proficiency in understanding electrical/pneumatic schematic drawings.
Understanding of Canadian electrical code, components, and wire sizing etc.
Knowledge and understanding of the basic and advanced control’s components like PLC, panels and field I/O modules, VFDs, servo systems etc.
Understanding of safety circuits and requirements including networked safet
Familiar with controls networks (Ethernet/IP, Ether Cat, I/O link, Asi)
Knowledge of Electrical design would be an asset.
Critical thinking to identify issues, present solutions and follow through to ensure completion.
