Position

We are seeking a District Vice-President Sales / Wholesaler to join our Sales team. The successful candidate will develop and execute business and sales strategies to expand CI's market share in the territory, establish a coverage and communication plan with advisors, and enhance advisor knowledge of CI investment solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Increase sales and expand market share
  • Build consultative relationships with Advisors and staff
  • Collaborate with Sales Coordinators to implement territory plans, prospect, and maintain relationships, including providing guidance and coaching
  • Utilize CI’s CRM platform effectively to maximize sales results
  • Master CI’s investment messaging
  • Represent CI at regional and national conferences
  • Continuously improve product knowledge, sales skills, and efficiencies
  • Leverage senior management in the sales process
  • Coordinate with National Accounts and Internal Wholesalers on initiatives
  • Manage scheduling and calendar to optimize client engagement and territory priorities

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience as a wholesaler (internal, hybrid, or external)
  • Established industry relationships are preferred
  • Strong business acumen and proficiency in business disciplines
  • University degree required
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
  • Designations like CFP, CIM, or CFA are assets
  • Experience with Salesforce is an asset
  • Deep investment management and market knowledge
  • Ability to make quick, appropriate decisions within regulatory frameworks
  • Strong partnership and team-building skills
