Overview
The Toronto Psychology Clinic is looking for highly motivated, talented, and compassionate Psychologists and Psychological Associates interested in building a thriving caseload to join our growing team of professionals. At this time we are prioritizing associates with experience in and strong interest in further growing skills in couple therapy and/or psychodiagnostic assessment. We deliver evidence-based, culturally-informed services to adolescents, adults, and couples. Our focus is on providing interventions that integrate across well-validated methods of psychotherapy models (e.g., EFT, CBT, DBT, mindfulness, contemporary psychodynamic). You will have the opportunity to engage in multiple monthly peer consultations led by the clinic director that cover private practice management, individual psychotherapy, couple psychotherapy, and assessment. There are also opportunities to start and run group/workshops of your own interest. Responsibilities
- Engage in building a thriving caseload in line with your interests and specialization.
- Participate in monthly peer consultations led by the clinic director covering private practice management, individual psychotherapy, couple psychotherapy, and psychodiagnostic assessment.
- Develop and/or run group or workshop sessions in areas of interest.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a supportive and dynamic environment that values work/life balance, autonomy, and advocacy for mental health services.
- Provide evidence-based interventions with adolescents, adults, and couples, integrating models such as EFT, CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and contemporary psychodynamic approaches.
- Contribute to a diverse referral network and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities including expert talks and consult groups.
Qualifications
- MA / PhD / PsyD in a Social, Clinical, Counseling, or related program
- Registration in good standing with the CPBOA (note: ensure the correct regulatory body is listed; keep as-is if CPBAO is the intended body)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in assessment, treatment planning, and provision of psychotherapy services for adolescents and/or adults
- Training in evidence-based interventions with a strong interest in psychotherapy integration
- Excellent case conceptualization skills
- Strong interest in working with complexity and diversity in client presentation
- Interest in building a thriving private practice
- Ability to work both virtually and in-person
- Motivated, mature, and ethically sound
- Family and couple therapy experience is an asset
- ADHD assessment and treatment experience is an asset
- Experience working with people who identify as South Asian, Middle Eastern and/or Muslim is an asset
- Fluency in a second language (e.g., Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Tamil, Farsi, Bengali, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin, or Cantonese) is an asset
