Join our team as a Buyer, where you’ll play a key role in sourcing and replenishing cost-effective, quality chemicals and components. You'll help ensure our corporate customer fill rate objectives are met while maintaining our high standards in supplier selection and operational excellence. Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Product Development and R&D teams in sourcing chemicals, fragrances, aerosols, and components.
  • Ensure timely follow-up both internally and externally to source adequate materials at the best price meeting all quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance to identify sourcing opportunities for commonly used items and services.
  • Generate Purchase Orders and follow up on ETA updates in Syspro.
  • Coordinate activities related to product sample requests for new product development and strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Seek opportunities to reduce TCO through renegotiation or cost improvements.
  • Communicate with various departments about raw material requirements for new product launches.
  • Manage inventory to minimize excess and obsolescence.
  • Participate in team meetings to communicate material status and mitigate risks.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to meet team and company goals.
  • Achieve department goals as outlined by leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with vendor requirements in collaboration with R&D and Regulatory departments.
  • Act as back-up for team members as needed.
  • Perform other duties or projects as assigned.

    Job Requirements

    • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
    • University degree in a related field.
    • Experience with ERP, MRP, and SCM systems supporting procurement and inventory.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
    • Strong negotiation and time management skills.
    • Experience with liquid fill componentry is preferred.
    • Pharmaceutical industry background is a plus.
    • Regulatory certifications or specialized training are assets.
    • SCMP designation is an asset.
