Reason for request/why opened: BAU, new project support

Scope of Project: Data analytics and insights – taking data from different sources, visualizing and putting it into Power Bi

Team Size/Culture: 15 people, collaborative work environment, very supportive

How would performance be measured? Hitting deliverables and timelines

Training Period: TD onboarding and 1 month of training

Candidate Profile Details
  • Degree/Certifications Required: Post Secondary education is preferred. ITIL, SAFe, AI certs are an asset
  • Years of Overall Experience: 5-7 years
  • % Interaction with Stakeholders: very minimal
  • Preferred Candidate Background: Data analytics, data insight, data science background
Summary of Day-to-Day Responsibilities
WHAT YOU'LL DO
LEAD DATA GOVERNANCE & HYGIENE
  • Manage day-to-day operations of our enterprise-wide operational data hygiene framework.
  • Apply ITIL best practices and enterprise data standards to enhance data quality, consistency, and compliance.
  • Proactively detect and resolve data issues before they impact reporting or business decisions.
BUILD & AUTOMATE SMARTER WORKFLOWS
  • Work with senior team members to gather requirements, design, build and maintain end-to-end solutions by leveraging Power Platform Tools such as Power BI, and Power Automate.
  • Build data solutions with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query and publishing dashboards.
  • Create and manage workflows in Power Automate to optimize Business Processes.
  • Continuously improve and streamline data workflows to support scalability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with teams to launch enhancements that improve speed, reliability, and usability.
DRIVE INSIGHTFUL, TRUSTED REPORTING
  • Create and maintain dashboards that tell a clear story with reliable data.
  • Support business partners with real-time, actionable insights that help meet KPIs and performance targets.
  • Ensure alignment of reporting practices with enterprise governance standards.
SOLVE PROBLEMS, LEAD IMPROVEMENTS
  • Own the resolution of production issues affecting operational data and workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to improve tools, processes, and reporting accuracy—then work with the team to implement them.

  • Bring fresh ideas and a "continuous improvement" mindset to the team.

MUST-HAVE Hard Skills
  • 2+ years of combined professional experience building data solutions with Power BI (including DAX, Power Query and publishing dashboards) and creating and managing workflows in Power Automate or similar tools.
  • Experience integrating Power Platform Solutions with Microsoft 365 and other enterprise systems.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT operations, service delivery, or a related field.
SOFT SKILLS
  • Strong communication skills and comfort engaging with stakeholders across business and technical teams.
  • A self-starter mindset, with the ability to identify gaps, propose solutions, and follow through with impact.
  • Passion for improving the way things work—through data, automation, and scalable solutions.
NICE-TO-HAVE
  • ServiceNow Modules, including Incident, Change, Problem, Service Now Performance Analytics, ServiceNow Tables – TDAR and SPM.
  • Python based data visualization and Machine Learning.
  • Prior experience working with AI.
