A regional school board is seeking Before and After School Support employees to supervise children and foster their learning and development. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and experience in positive child supervision. This role focuses on encouraging interaction and communication among children and families, providing a safe and inclusive environment.

The Successful Candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory Criminal Background Check including the Vulnerable Sector, which must be received in Human Resources prior to the commencement of employment. Please note, the Board does not assume any costs associated with the Criminal Reference Check. Social Insurance Number (SIN), date of birth, and proof of educational qualifications will be required at the time of an offer of employment.

Under the staff screening and police record checks, employees working in licensed child care programs are required to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check issued by a Police Service on or before every fifth anniversary after the date of the most recent vulnerable sector check. In addition, employees are required to complete an annual offence declaration. Educators working in Before and After School Programs are required to complete a request for VSC through your local police service and submit your original electronic copy to the Licensed Child Care Staff Record Site (LCCSR).
Employees are required to have a valid first aid and CPR certificate and/or be registered to update their training within the year and to maintain this certification. Employees may be required to work on PD days, Winter break, and March break when the program is operating. It is the responsibility of interested candidates to ensure that their application, including a resume and a copy of a current Certificate of Qualification is submitted through Apply to Education.
