What is the opportunity?

RBC Capital Markets, Global Transaction Banking (GTB) division is seeking a talented Associate to join our Product Strategy team. The global payments landscape is evolving at an unprecedented pace, driven by digital commerce growth, emerging payment rails, and changing regulatory requirements. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in developing and managing our product suite for the world's leading financial institutions.

We're looking for a client‑centric professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and can work effectively across organizational boundaries. You'll partner with relationship managers, client teams, and cross‑functional stakeholders across RBC—including Commercial Banking and Technology & Operations—to deliver innovative, tailored product solutions that drive client satisfaction and revenue growth.

As a Product Subject Matter Expert, you'll own all initiatives and programs related to your product portfolio, gaining exposure to some of the world's most respected institutions.

What will you do?
  • Develop subject matter expertise in 4-5 cash management products serving our GTB client base and become the go‑to expert for product capabilities and functionality.
  • Support our sales and relationship management teams with compelling product narratives, presentations, and sales materials that support their client conversations.
  • Support critical business initiatives including developing client presentations and marketing collateral, preparing thought leadership content, and responding to client Requests for Proposal and Information.
  • Support client onboarding by providing comprehensive product overview of capabilities, functionality, reporting options, enrollment processes, and testing protocols.
  • Collaborate across RBC through a "One RBC" approach, working with teams across the enterprise to develop product enhancements and create strategic solutions that address evolving client needs.
  • Conduct quarterly monitoring and analysis of cross‑border payment flows, identify AML travel rule compliance gaps, and lead proactive client communication initiatives to ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Support the development and execution of the product roadmap by contributing to new product and service launches, including defining business and technology requirements, documenting process flows, conducting gap analysis, and preparing change management documentation to ensure seamless implementation across the organization.
What you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • A business mentality grounded in revenue generation and client satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to articulate complex product concepts to clients and internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and impact across multiple cross‑functional teams, with strong organizational and time management capabilities.
  • The capacity to work independently and thrive in dynamic, fast‑paced environments while managing competing priorities effectively.
  • Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in the Financial Services sector.
Nice to have:
  • Familiarity with RBC's payments and cash management service offerings.
  • Prior experience working with RBC Payments & Trade Operations teams.
  • Background in project management within the financial services industry.
