We are looking for an Associate Product Manager to join our Sportsnet Product team and help us define and build the next generation of digital sports experiences. The successful applicant will work with the Sportsnet+ Product Manager on the development of Sportsnet’s digital streaming and advertising platform, as well as supporting our broader suite of products as needed. The successful candidate will forge strong relationships with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Media Brand, Technology & UX, in addition to engaging with external vendors. Strong candidates will be able to balance their own expertise and experience with the inputs from all of these groups, always keeping top of mind: user experience, engagement and revenue growth.

What you’ll do
  • Execute against the product vision and drive the delivery of next-generation sports products.
  • Support the development of the Sportsnet+ product roadmap and align key stakeholders on priorities, sequencing, delivery status and launch plans across all devices and platforms.
  • Support the product manager in the agile development process by maintaining the prioritized backlog, writing tickets, defining user stories, and ensuring delivery in every sprint.
  • Work closely with product managers and key stakeholders to ensure high-quality video consumption experiences including low latency streaming and video interactivity.
  • Support the Product Manager to unlock new revenue opportunities including dynamic ad insertion.
  • Collaborate daily with the UX designers and development team members to clarify questions, remove roadblocks and evaluate trade-offs in order to continuously deliver app features.
  • Support agile rituals such as daily scrums, backlog grooming and sprint planning.
  • Focus on data and customer feedback to deliver exceptional user experiences.
  • Drive and oversee comprehensive user research using various methods.
  • Relentlessly carry out competitive analysis and benchmarking.
  • Track industry trends, new streaming and digital advertising features, and share best practices.
