Assistant Food & Beverage Manager Aalto Jasper Alberta

Location: 6 Km North On Pyramid Lake Rd, Jasper, AB
Shift: Full-time. Morning shift and evening shift. Weekends as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the smooth running of daily operations for the hotel restaurant and special events, including banquets.
  • Supervise staff and exceed customer expectations at all times.
  • Keep food and beverage areas clean and maintain exemplary food hygiene practices.
  • Assist with recruitment, training, and staff management.
  • Oversee inventory management; properly unpack weekly orders and maintain neat storage locations.
  • Address customer complaints or issues and resolve matters expediently.
  • Oversee food storage and dining areas for safety regulation and health code compliance.
  • Assist with cocktail creation and menu development.
  • Lead and execute weddings, conferences and signature events; ensure flawless delivery.
  • Complete daily billing and financial responsibilities accurately and efficiently.
  • Communicate daily on guest feedback, employee performance, and shift notes.
Qualifications
  • Flexible to work various shifts (early mornings, late evenings, weekends, split shifts).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to handle numerous tasks at one time.
  • Strong proven leadership qualities and management skills.
  • Degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management or related discipline is a strong asset.
  • Two years in a hotel or restaurant industry, including at least one year in a supervisory position.
  • Working knowledge of MICROS or similar POS system is an asset.
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain government required licenses, certificates or permits.
