Title: Administrative Assistant

Start Date: March 2026

Term: Fulltime

Accountable to: LMG Chipping General Manager

Summary of Function

The Administrative Assistant is integral to the continuous operations of the Chipper Operation. The Administrative Assistant is responsible to submit all invoices concerning the Chipper Operation to the appropriate parties. In addition, the Administrative Assistant is tasked with greeting visitors, answering and directing phone calls as well as preparing an assortment of reports regarding the operation of the Chipper.

Job Duties
  • Responsible to control confidential information including payroll records as required.
  • Utilizes word processing as well as other computer programs for the development of operational reports.
  • Completes invoices receipts for the Chipper operation (for payment).
  • Prepares financial statements using accounting software.
  • Directs and replies to phone and email inquiries.
  • Ensures the updating of employee attendance information.
  • Facilitates the purchasing of office supplies when applicable.
  • Codes and files financial information on the Chipper operation according to financial procedures.
  • Responsible for administering petty cash for the Chipper operation.
  • Other tasks as required.

Requirements
  • High School diploma or its equivalent (GED) and a post-secondary degree or diploma in business administration would be required.
  • Three (3) years of experience in a similar position would be required.
  • Must work independently.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Simply Accounting.
  • Must be able to develop and interpret various spreadsheets.
