Job Purpose

The Creative Project Manager orchestrates strategic brand and creative initiatives that drive institutional brand equity and enrollment outcomes while maintaining fiscal responsibility for project profitability and creative team accountability. This role combines project management expertise with creative strategy understanding to deliver compelling, measurable brand solutions within the higher education space and consistency across creative deliverables provided by Carnegie.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Strategic Project Leadership & Brand Outcome Management
  • Lead comprehensive project planning for brand and creative initiatives, establishing clear milestone maps that connect creative deliverables to client brand and enrollment objectives
  • Coordinate Subject Matter Expert (SME) resourcing across creative, content, multimedia, and brand strategy teams to optimize creative outcomes in partnership with Client Operations
  • Proactively assess and mitigate creative project risks, including resource constraints, approval bottlenecks, and brand compliance challenges, escalating issues to the Project Lead or Account Director to ensure proactive resolution and sustained client retention
  • Hold creative teams accountable for brand adherence, quality standards, and deliverable excellence through structured review processes
  • Financial Management & Resource Optimization
  • Track project revenue performance and burn rate to ensure creative projects remain profitable and within approved budgets
  • Monitor creative resource allocation and make real‑time adjustments to optimize team utilization and creative project efficiency
  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to maintain accurate forecasting
  • Cross‑Solution Integration & Creative Workflow Leadership
  • Maintain strategic awareness of creative project integration points across solution project management campaigns to ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints
  • Collaborate with other solution PMs and the Project Lead to coordinate creative asset development timelines and shared brand resource requirements
  • Escalate creative integration challenges and brand compliance obstacles to Delivery Operations team for rapid resolution
  • Participate in cross‑functional planning sessions to align creative initiatives with broader client marketing and brand strategies
  • Advanced Workflow Management & Quality Assurance
  • Manage Asana workflows for creative project management, including approval processes, version control, and comprehensive asset management systems
  • Implement and uphold creative quality assurance standards that exceed client brand expectations and industry benchmarks
  • Develop comprehensive creative brief and project documentation systems that ensure stakeholder alignment and creative accountability
  • Facilitate strategic client communications regarding creative strategy, brand development progress, and creative campaign performance insights
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Understanding of brand strategy, visual identity systems, and creative campaign development to guide strategic creative approaches
  • Proficiency with creative workflow management, brand guideline implementation, and creative quality control processes
  • Experience in project management methodologies with the ability to adapt approaches for diverse creative workflows and brand requirements
  • Advanced Asana administration, including creative‑specific automation, approval workflows, and sophisticated asset management systems
  • Understanding of creative project P&L management and creative budget forecasting to maintain fiscal responsibility and profitability
  • Knowledge of multimedia production, content strategy, and cross‑channel creative campaign coordination
  • Experience with brand performance measurement, creative testing methodologies, and brand equity assessment tools
  • Proven ability to manage multiple creative projects simultaneously while maintaining brand consistency, quality standards, and team accountability
  • Strong collaborator, skilled at aligning strategists and creative teams, fostering open communication between platforms and specialists
  • Dexterity and wherewithal to effectively deal with campaign pivots, platform changes, and continuous optimization requirements
  • Demonstrates initiative and autonomy, effectively managing priorities while utilizing guidance and support when appropriate
  • Experience or interest in using AI tools, with a willingness to learn how AI can impact and appropriately enhance the client experience
  • Due to the remote environment, effective communication and time management skills are required, as well as the ability to use/learn multiple technology platforms and switch between them on a regular basis
  • Physical requirement: Must be able to work at a computer for prolonged periods
Credentials and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Project Management, or related field, or equivalent life/work experience
  • 3‑5 years of project management experience with increasing responsibility, including a minimum of 2 years in creative project management
  • Demonstrated experience managing brand, creative, or multimedia projects in professional services or higher education environments
  • Higher education or creative agency experience strongly preferred
  • PMP, Agile, or equivalent project management certification preferred
