Job summary
A leading company in the industry is seeking a skilled maintenance technician in the United Arab Emirates. The role involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance on automated systems like conveyors and PLC-based systems. Candidates should have 3-5 years of relevant experience and a sound knowledge of electrical systems and control panels. The position requires strong troubleshooting skills to minimize downtime and ensure safe operations. IT literacy for maintenance tracking is also essential.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of warehouse automation systems.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems and control panels.
- Experience with WMS-integrated automation equipment preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and corrective maintenance on automation systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and control system issues.
- Maintain logs of maintenance tasks in compliance with SOPs.
Skills
- Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on automated systems including conveyors, sorters, pick / pack stations, ASRS, and PLC-based systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues to minimize downtime.
- Calibrate sensors, actuators, and electrical components as per operational standards.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations to resolve automation-related interruptions in workflow.
- Maintain logs of maintenance tasks and interventions in compliance with SOPs.
- Ensure all automation equipment operates in accordance with HSE and operational safety protocols.
- Conduct inspections and report potential safety hazards or malfunctioning components.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance equipment uptime and warehouse efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, parts used, and system modifications.
- Generate technical reports and provide feedback on recurrent issues for process improvements.
Support root cause analysis and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) initiatives
3–5 years of experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of warehouse automation systems or industrial equipment.
Working knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, PLC diagnostics, and mechanical drive systems.
Experience with WMS-integrated automation equipment and HMI interfaces is preferred.
IT literacy for basic diagnostics, system updates, and maintenance tracking
