Onshore Energy Underwriter - Hybrid & Broker Network
Job summary
A leading global insurance company is seeking an experienced Underwriter - Marine to join their Dubai team. The successful candidate will analyze and underwrite insurance risks while collaborating with brokers and ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines. A Bachelor's Degree and at least 5 years of experience in underwriting is required, particularly in Energy lines of business. This role offers a hybrid work model and focuses on developing customer relationships.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Underwriting with exposure to Energy lines of business.
- Developed existing network of Brokers in the Middle East.
- Understanding of Treaty Reinsurance Protection and Facultative Reinsurance.
Responsibilities
- Assess and price medium complexity risks, negotiate terms.
- Engage with distributors (brokers) throughout the Underwriting process.
- Handle and resolve inquiries from customers or brokers.
