A prominent engineering firm in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Draftsman with extensive experience in oil and gas projects. The role involves designing electrical systems, preparing detailed drawings, and ensuring compliance with international standards such as ADNOC. Ideal candidates will have a diploma in Electrical Engineering and at least 8 years of relevant experience, especially in the UAE. Proficiency in AutoCAD and excellent communication skills are essential for success in a collaborative environment.
Prepare detailed drawings including SLDs wiring diagrams control panel layouts loop diagrams cable routing and instrumentation layouts.
Create as-built drawings based on site mark-ups and redlines.
Ensure compliance with project specifications ADNOC standards and international codes (IEC NEC etc.).
Coordinate with project engineers site teams and other disciplines to ensure drawing accuracy.
Maintain proper version control and documentation of drawings.
Review vendor drawings and incorporate into overall design.
Support electrical and automation engineers in developing design packages for onshore and offshore oil & gas projects.
Diploma/ITI in Electrical Engineering or relevant field.
Minimum 35 years of experience as a draftsman in oil & gas or EPC projects.
Proficient in AutoCAD EPLAN and Microsoft Office tools.
Knowledge of PLC SCADA system layouts and automation panels is an added advantage.
Familiar with UAE standards and ADNOC requirements (preferred).
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver quality drawings.
