We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant to join us.

As Senior Accountant, you will be handling financial and bookkeeping processes, including managing a team of experienced accountants.

Duties:

1. Book and record financial transactions (receivables & payables), reconcile sub-ledgers and ledgers, prepare financial statements;
2. Devise monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets, projections, and forecasts;
3. Assess internal controls and risks and derive ways of mitigating risks;
4. Prepare periodical reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly) and identify areas of improvement and cost savings;
5. Prepare, support, and coordinate annual external audits of the company’s finances.

Responsibilities:

1. At least 5, ideally 7+ years of experience in financial management and accounting in an eCommerce business or digital startup;
2. 2+ years of experience with UAE VAT regulations;
3. 2+ years of experience with QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online;
4. A Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or general Business Administration;
5. At least 1 accounting certification (CA, CPA, ACCA, etc.), ideally also with certification & experience in IFRS;
6. Outstanding communication skills (verbal & written) in English.
