Refrigeration Technician jobs in United States

The purpose of this role is to conduct day-to-day maintenance and repair work regarding all types of vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

1. To note down KMS/HRS of the equipment and inform the supervisor of the next service due date.
2. To check for any spare parts required and inform the supervisor.
3. To change all types of oil (engine oil, gear oil, transmission oil, etc).
4. To check fuel water separator, fan belt, lights and fire extinguishers, tyre conditions, hydraulic pipe, etc.
5. Help senior mechanics in performing all types of jobs.
6. To attend breakdown calls and repair jobs with the mechanics.
7. To do daily inspection of vehicles for checking KMS/HRS, fluid, oil, etc.
8. While not attending breakdown jobs, perform any job allocated by the WS Supervisors such as disassembly of engines and machinery into component parts and the performance of repairs.
9. To perform skilled installation of A/C units such as removing units, filling them with fluid, and making electrical connections.
10. Testing equipment after repair and doing regular preventive maintenance checks.
11. To adjust generators, tensions, fix evaporator units, drill holes, thread, connect hoses to compressor, evaporator and cool air outlet.
12. To connect wires, solder power cables, check proximity switches, thermal units, rectifiers, etc.

Qualifications

Higher Secondary School Certificate. Formal training in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

Minimum 4 years experience in the mechanical and electrical field.

Skills

Communication Skills (listening, verbal, written).
