GAINS Technician

Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for inspecting, testing, cleaning and repair of Galley inserts in accordance with established procedures and technical data.
• Responsible for carrying out troubleshooting and clearing of defects.
• Follows repair and return processes to ensure high quality and short cycle time of repair and return.
• Maintain high levels of quality.
• Comply with all rules and regulations of Collins Aerospace including but not limited to environmental health and safety, ethics, international trade compliance and human resources.
• Accurately document maintenance carried out.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum experience: 3 years of relevant experience is required.
• Ability to utilize computer systems (MS Office etc. to input & retrieve information).
• Must be available for overtime including extended workdays and weekends.
• Comply with EH&S policies and procedures at all times, including wearing appropriate PPE. Attend EH&S trainings as required.
• Report unsafe practices and/or conditions to the appropriate individuals to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards.
• Recommend improvements to EH&S practices in order to create a safer workplace.
• The ability to interpret schematics and/or technical drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferably with experience working on ovens, beverage makers and chillers.

Working Conditions

• 100 percent of time spent on production floor with occasional loud noise requiring safety glasses.
• Constant daily exposure to adhesive and solvent vapors.
• Constant daily pushing, pulling and lifting of hardware.
• Exposure to machinery with moving parts.
