The IoT Technician will be responsible for managing and maintaining the Internet of Things (IoT) infrastructure for UDrive's fleet of vehicles. This includes ensuring the efficient integration of IoT devices, troubleshooting issues, conducting installations, and providing technical support. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IoT systems, technical support experience, and a passion for innovative technologies in the transportation industry.
Install, configure, and maintain IoT devices in UDrive’s fleet of vehicles.
Ensure the seamless integration of IoT solutions with UDrive's app and fleet management systems.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve IoT-related issues in the fleet, including connectivity, sensor malfunctions, and data transmission errors.
Collaborate with software development teams to ensure smooth operation of IoT systems and troubleshoot technical problems.
Monitor and analyze IoT system performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize performance.
Provide ongoing technical support and training to staff on IoT systems.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on IoT equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Assist in the implementation of new IoT technologies and solutions to enhance fleet management.
Prepare reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and repairs.
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience working with IoT devices, networks, and systems.
Strong understanding of networking protocols, sensors, and communication technologies
Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining embedded systems and software integration.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools and software for IoT systems.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Knowledge of fleet management systems and app-based technologies is a plus.
Certification or experience with IoT-related platforms or systems.
Previous experience working in a transportation or automotive environment.
