About the Role

Cohesion Asset Management is seeking a dynamic and seasoned Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead our operational and regulatory functions in Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). This is a high-impact leadership role, ideal for an expert with a strong background in fund operations and deep knowledge of ADGM and SEBI regulatory environments.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance & Governance

• Lead day-to-day operations of the ADGM office and key committee functions.
• Ensure robust compliance with ADGM and SEBI regulations, including AML/CFT frameworks and timely regulatory reporting.
• Oversee compliance with FPI (Foreign Portfolio Investor) norms, including registration and investment thresholds.

Fund Operations & Administration

• Supervise NAV calculation, reconciliation processes, and issue resolution with fund administrators.
• Oversee bank and custodian relationships—ensuring frictionless transfers, settlements, and reporting.
• Collaborate with Indian Chartered Accountants to guarantee accurate and timely tax computations.
• Manage seamless investor onboarding, KYC compliance, and fund subscriptions/redemptions.

Audit, Risk & Compliance Oversight

• Spearhead internal and external audits, aligning operations with financial standards and regulatory mandates.
• Establish strong corporate governance protocols, optimize workflows, and mitigate operational risks.
• Ensure prompt delivery of audit results and compliance reports to regulators.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communications

• Organize and lead Board, Investment, Risk, and Compliance Committee meetings.
• Maintain proactive investor relations through transparent NAV reporting, investor decks, and digital communications.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Professional Credentials: Chartered Accountant qualification preferred.
• Experience: 10+ years in fund operations, compliance, or asset management within financial services.
• Regulatory Mastery: In-depth knowledge of ADGM and SEBI frameworks.
• Operational Expertise: Proven skills in NAV, fund administration, and risk governance.
• Audit & Reporting: Hands-on experience managing audits and complex regulatory submissions.
• Tech Fluency: Familiarity with Order Management Systems (OMS) and risk analytics tools is a plus.
• Leadership DNA: Adept at leading diverse teams, engaging stakeholders, and driving change.
