- Promote and appreciate children's literature and foster enjoyment in recreational reading.
- Help students become familiar with a range of authors and genres in print and digital formats.
- Guide students in their reading choices.
- Review journals and utilize selection tools to stay current with children's literature.
- Actively market the school at every opportunity.
- Meet and greet parents when necessary to introduce their child's literature or learning journey.
- Create marketing materials for school-wide and external promotion.
- Have a solid understanding of teachers' professional duties as specified in the school handbook.
- Collaborate with teachers to organize library sessions and promote the joy of reading.
- Build trust and confidence among pupils and colleagues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in teaching techniques and engage in professional discussions.

Requirements to Apply :
- Degree in library studies.
- Master's in Library Studies or equivalent.
- Ideally 3 years of experience.
- Western-trained.
- Experience with the IB curriculum is highly preferred.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.

Minimum Application Requirements
Qualification : Minimum qualification: M.Ed, B.Ed, or relevant Bachelor's Degree with a teaching qualification.
Experience: 2 years.
Type of staff: Female candidates only.
Must be Western-trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa).
Must be a native English speaker.
Newly qualified teachers are NOT considered. Preference for candidates with international experience. Additional considerations:
- Experience with IB curriculum is beneficial but not essential; training will be provided.
- Experience with US curriculum (e.g., American Harcourt, AP, Common Core) is highly valued.
- Experience working in the Middle East or with non-native English speakers is advantageous.
