• Demonstrate an up-to-date understanding of the curriculum in PYP, MYP, and DP.
• Promote and appreciate children's literature and foster enjoyment in recreational reading.
• Help students become familiar with a range of authors and genres in print and digital formats.
• Guide students in their reading choices.
• Review journals and utilize selection tools to stay current with children's literature.
• Actively market the school at every opportunity.
• Meet and greet parents when necessary to introduce their child's literature or learning journey.
• Create marketing materials for school-wide and external promotion.
• Have a solid understanding of teachers' professional duties as specified in the school handbook.
• Collaborate with teachers to organize library sessions and promote the joy of reading.
• Build trust and confidence among pupils and colleagues.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in teaching techniques and engage in professional discussions.
• Seek meaningful opportunities within the organization to achieve potential and make progress.

Requirements to Apply :

• Degree in library studies.
• Master's in Library Studies or equivalent.
• Ideally 3 years of experience.
• Western-trained.
• Experience with the IB curriculum is highly preferred.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Up-to-date with modern technology.

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification : Minimum qualification: M.Ed, B.Ed, or relevant Bachelor's Degree with a teaching qualification.

Experience: 2 years.

Type of staff: Female candidates only.

Must be Western-trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa).

Must be a native English speaker.

Newly qualified teachers are NOT considered. Preference for candidates with international experience. Additional considerations:

• Experience with IB curriculum is beneficial but not essential; training will be provided.
• Experience with US curriculum (e.g., American Harcourt, AP, Common Core) is highly valued.
• Experience working in the Middle East or with non-native English speakers is advantageous.
