As we scale, we seek a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our blockchain development, security, and innovation strategy.

Role Overview

As CTO, you will be responsible for driving Umoja Coin’s technological vision, architecture, and security, ensuring a scalable and efficient blockchain ecosystem. You will lead the development team, oversee smart contract infrastructure, and optimize the UmojaPAY platform for real-world adoption.

Key Responsibilities

• Technology Strategy & Leadership

• Develop and execute Umoja Coin’s blockchain infrastructure and security protocols.
• Drive innovation in DeFi, remittances, and smart contract applications.
• Provide technical guidance on scalability, interoperability, and on-chain governance.

• Blockchain & Product Development

• Oversee UmojaPAY development, integrating seamless fiat-to-crypto transactions.
• Optimize Polygon-based smart contracts for efficiency and security.
• Collaborate with market makers and exchange partners to improve liquidity solutions.

• Team Building & Development

• Build and manage a team of blockchain developers, engineers, and security experts.
• Ensure alignment with marketing, business development, and compliance teams.

• Security & Compliance

• Implement best practices for smart contract audits and cybersecurity.
• Ensure compliance with crypto regulations across African and global markets.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years in blockchain development, DeFi, or fintech leadership.
• Strong expertise in Solidity, Rust, or Go, with hands-on experience in smart contracts.
• Deep knowledge of Ethereum, Polygon, Layer-2 scaling solutions, and Web3 protocols.
• Experience with cross-border payments, liquidity pools, and tokenomics.
• Familiarity with crypto regulations in Africa and global compliance frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead tech teams and scale blockchain products.

Compensation & Equity Model

This role is an equity-based executive position, meaning compensation will be structured as a founding stake in Umoja Coin. The selected CTO will receive a significant equity share, with additional incentives based on:

• Token allocations and vesting schedules tied to performance milestones.
• Leadership in securing exchange partnerships and driving adoption.
• Successful deployment of UmojaPAY and agent network infrastructure.
