Role & responsibilities: Managing compliances & Billing • Should be proficient with West & East Africa’s financial compliances. • Managing statutory compliances related to local payroll practices. • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition. • Research technical accounting issues for compliance & and suggest required changes. • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. Reporting • Prepare and publish timely monthly, quarterly and annually financial statements • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting • Support month-end and year-end close process • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting for each country • Work and publish pricing reports for each region • Financial forecasting. • Review of Cash and bank reports • Calculation of RTS reports data • Tracking Import consignment and coordinating with shipping partner • Review of daily sales MIS • Review of vendor invoices • Review of receivables and track aging • Review of Salary file and entry in books, FnF etc • Review of statutory payments and returns • Month end closure of books of accounts • Preparation of Standalone Financials for KE, TZ, UG • Preparation of Consolidated Financials including US entity • Preparation of Contribution Margin MIS • Co-ordinate with Country managers and finalize monthly projections • Preparation of Information as requested by Investor
• CA or CA Inter or MBA Finance • Working Experience: 10 - 14 Years of East Africa, West Africa and Asia • Proven working experience in Financial Controlling profile • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures • Experience with creating financial statements • In-depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices. • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods • Ability to strategize and solve problems • Excellent communication and people skills
