Job summary
A premier healthcare institution in the United Arab Emirates seeks a qualified Physician specializing in Cardiology. This role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing patient care in the Heart & Vascular unit. Candidates must have a recognized medical degree and relevant experience. The position requires collaboration with healthcare teams to provide exceptional patient care in a culturally sensitive environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years post-qualification experience for candidates from Tier 1 countries.
- Minimum of three years clinical experience for Associate Staff from Tier 3.
Responsibilities
- Monitors and provides care to patients in the Cardiology specialty.
- Prescribes medication and therapy to treat illness.
- Analyzes records and test results to diagnose conditions.
- Explains procedures and discusses results with patients.
- Performs surgical procedures as appropriate.
Skills
Education
This is a physician position and is responsible for applying medical knowledge and skills to the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of illnesses for patients within the Heart & Vascular - Cardiology specialty at CCAD. Under the supervision and guidance of a Consultant physician, this position treats patients directly and/or may make referrals to different members of the health care professional team at CCAD.
- Monitors and provides care to patients at CCAD within the Cardiology specialty
- Prescribes or administers medication, therapy and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease or injury
- Analyzes records, reports and test results to diagnose patient's medical condition
- Interacts with patient to gather additional history and information about medical condition
- Explains procedures and discusses test results or prescribed treatments with patient
- Provides specific treatments and/or performs operations to treat patient medical conditions
- Evaluates patient and records applicable notes about patient's condition for purposes of serving as a record of treatment and / or a possible referral to another member of the health care professional team
- Liaisons with other medical and non-medical staff at CCAD to ensure quality patient treatment
- Performs surgical procedures and operations as appropriate
- Supplies and provides care in a culturally appropriate and sensitive manner
- Takes part in administrative functions that ensure the continued operations of the clinical environment, such as committees, task forces and performance improvement measures
- Provide hospital on-call in patient coverage as deemed necessary
- Follows ethical and regulatory guidelines
- Adheres to individual approved clinical privileges, as well as to all policies and procedures of the Physician Staff
- Physicians from Tier 1 countries, not less than two (2) years additional experience post qualification, Tier 1 countries are listed in the DOH PQR https://www.doh.gov.ae/en/pqr
- For Associate Staff (Specialist) from Tier 3, not less than 3 years clinical experience as Specialist post qualification in internationally accredited institute.
- MD, MBBS, MBChB or equivalent basic medical degree
- Completion of a recognized specialization in Cardiology from countries are listed in the DOH PQR https://www.doh.gov.ae/en/pqr
