Professors Samreen Malik, Jordan Norris, and Ala S Martin-Baillon at New York University Abu Dhabi are seeking a full-time Research Assistant (RA) to support multiple ongoing research projects at the intersection of computational economics and empirical social science.
The RA will contribute to several studies, including projects on inflation expectations of firms and households, network effects in economic decision-making, and other topics related to development and macroeconomic behavior. Many of these studies involve the collection of data using computational algorithms and analysis of large-scale survey data, which are combined with administrative and experimental datasets to answer high-impact policy and academic questions.
Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields. Proficiency with the statistical analysis software STATA is mandatory. Proficiency in LaTeX, including the ability to create and format documents, is required. Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Google Docs, Spreadsheets, Drive, and Dropbox is required.
