Job Description:
• Assist the dentists during dental treatments, such as taking X-rays, preparing materials and providing patient care
• Explain treatment procedures to patients and provide them with information on preventative dental care
• Prepare dental instruments and equipment for use by the dentist
• Sterilize instruments before and after each procedure
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following infection control policies and protocols
• Provide chair-side assistance during all dental procedures
• Record treatment information in patient charts
Demands for the Candidate:
• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role
• Good understanding of dental instruments and equipment
• Knowledge of infection control policies and protocols
• Excellent communication skills with patients and team members alike
• Ability to explain treatments to patients in a clear manner
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
