Job description

The Sales & Data Analyst is a key business partner to Commercial and Finance teams, responsible for transforming complex commercial and financial data into clear insights, strong business decks, and decision-ready recommendations.

The role sits at the intersection of sales performance, P&L management, and strategic planning, with direct access to commercial and financial systems.

The Analyst will not only report what happened, but explain why it happened, what it means, and what to do next, helping commercial teams improve execution and profitability across markets and channels.

This is a high-visibility role working closely with senior management and contributing directly to business decisions.

Core Responsibilities

1. Commercial Performance & Market Intelligence

  • Analyze sales performance by channel, brand, customer, and market, identifying growth opportunities, risks, and execution gaps.
  • Monitor in-season performance vs. budget and forecast, highlighting deviations and proposing corrective actions.
  • Deep-dive on sell-in, sell-out, stock levels, rotation, margin, and product mix to support better commercial decisions.
  • Track market trends and customer behavior to support strategic commercial planning.

2. Financials (Commercial Perspective)

  • Prepare and monitor P&L analyses by channel, brand, and key customers, working closely with Finance.
  • Identify profitability drivers, cost sensitivities, and margin improvement levers.
  • Support scenario planning, business simulations, and investment cases for commercial initiatives.
  • Contribute to the commercial budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment between sales plans and financial targets.

3. Business Decks, Dashboards & Decision Tools

  • Build high-quality business decks, executive summaries, and structured analyses for leadership meetings and partner presentations.
  • Develop and maintain scorecards and dashboards covering KPIs such as revenue, margin, sell-through, stock, ROI, and productivity.
  • Turn large datasets into clear, visual, and actionable insights, not just tables.
  • Standardize reporting tools to improve transparency and speed of decision-making.

4. Cross-Functional Business Partnering

  • Act as a daily interface between Commercial, Finance, Merchandising, and Allocation teams.
  • Ensure data consistency and alignment between commercial and financial views of the business.
  • Proactively challenge assumptions with facts and propose data-driven solutions.
  • Present insights and recommendations to management in a clear, confident, and business-oriented way.
Benefits
  • Balance between work and personal life: Smart Working (Hybrid work model) and Time flexibility.
  • An International, fresh and dynamic working environment.
  • Physical & Mental Health programs, sustainable projects and workshops promoted by Guess Community Training & Development platform and paths.
  • Discount on our products both online and in stores.
  • Opportunity to join a progressive and sustainable global company, constantly looking for new challenges and opportunities to grow in a competitive and tough market.
  • People-first workspace, where well-being and development are part of the history and success of the brand.
