A diversified investment group in the UAE is seeking a Procurement & Import Manager for its Automotive division. The successful candidate will develop sourcing strategies, lead negotiation processes, and establish performance metrics. Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in business or a related field and have over 7 years of experience in procurement within the automotive sector. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for this role.

The Client:
Our client, a diversified investment group covering multiple domains in the UAE and the region. It specializes in high-end quality products and providing the market with superior marketing solutions and is looking to hire a Procurement & Import Managerfor its Automotive division.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop sourcing strategies by analyzing the supply base, worldwide market conditions, and technology roadmaps.
- Lead contractual negotiations with suppliers on NDA’s, General Terms & Conditions, and Production Supply Agreements.
- Lead RFI/ RFQ/ RFP and strategic sourcing process.
- Engage with and support engineering leadership in the identification of technologies and suppliers for vehicle development.
- Establish metrics to measure, monitor, and analyze sourcing progress and supplier performance.
- Drive cost model transparency to understand the total cost of ownership for supplier selections.
- Develop cost-saving initiatives and identify other opportunities through benchmarking, VA/VE activities, competitive bidding, and re-sourcing.
- Support business planning initiatives and milestone attainment.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers, acting as the lead for all capital expenditure issues.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in procurement and import in the automotive trading industry.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
