Job Overview :

Here's your chance to step into the role of Associate Director - Financial Reporting. In this position, you'll take on key responsibilities that include :

• Lead month-, quarter-, and year-end financial close activities, ensuring compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, and internal timelines.
• Review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and ensure financial control frameworks and risk governance are in place.
• Oversee general ledger management and ensure sub-ledger alignment and accurate transaction classification.
• Supervise preparation of reconciliations (e.g., bank, fixed assets) and ensure strong internal controls to maintain data integrity.
• Drive automation and process improvement initiatives using tools like ARCS, BlackLine, RPA, and analytics.
• Monitor KPIs and SLAs, identify performance gaps, and guide the team to meet strategic and operational targets.
• Act as liaison for auditors and finance partners, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction and fast issue resolution.
• Enforce compliance through governance reviews, risk assessments, anti-fraud controls, and remediation of control gaps.
• Standardize R2R processes, identify cost-saving opportunities, and evaluate the impact of process changes.
• Manage and mentor the team, foster a high-performance culture, and support continuous development and innovation.

About you :

The preferred candidate for this role should possess the following experience and credentials :

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
• Professional certifications (CA, CPA, ACCA) preferred
• 10+ years of experience in financial reporting, general ledger, and financial close processes
• Strong expertise in financial controls, compliance, and governance frameworks
• Proven track record in stakeholder management and service excellence
• Strong leadership and relationship management skills with a customer focused approach
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of finance function and processes
• Experience working in a finance shared services is preferred
• Experience working in the Middle East region is preferred
