Job summary

A venture-backed technology company in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Founding CTO to lead the development of a white-label consumer engagement platform. In this role, you will define system architecture and technical standards while ensuring the platform supports various partners and brands. The ideal candidate has over 8 years of experience in consumer-facing technology products and proven delivery of scalable systems. You will have the opportunity to build a high-performing team and establish engineering practices from the ground up.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building consumer-facing technology products.
• Proven experience delivering at least one 0-to-1 platform.
• Track record of shipping and operating products at scale (100K+ users).
• Comfortable working across frontend, backend, and infrastructure layers.
• Experience designing production-grade systems with high reliability.

Responsibilities

• Establish system design principles covering scalability, security, and performance.
• Make key build-vs-buy decisions and select vendors and partners.
• Architect and implement backend services supporting real-time events.
• Design robust data pipelines, storage, and API layers.
• Own production readiness, monitoring, and incident response processes.
• Hire, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering team.
