Job Summary

Job Summary The Manager - Inside Sales & Applications Engineering will lead and develop the inside sales team to drive growth, increase market share and consistently exceed targets. This role establishes a customer-centric high-performing team that positions Emerson as the supplier of choice for products, solutions and services. Based in Dubai, UAE, this position supports the Middle East and Africa Pressure Management (PRM) business and reports to the Sales Director PRM MEA. Responsibilities
  • Ensure Emerson Values Ethics and Trade compliance procedures are closely followed in all business transactions.
  • Responsible for developing, retaining and providing leadership to the multinational, multi-cultural PRM inside sales team located in multiple Emerson offices/countries.
  • Support outside sales team and serve customers in the Middle East Africa region to achieve set goals and improve sales effectiveness by providing qualified techno-commercial offers on time.
  • Gain a complete view of the opportunity pipeline, supervise key performance indicators and make strategic adjustments. This involves proactive management of opportunities, accurate forecasting and targeted resource allocation using the CRM tool.
  • Drive accurate and timely reporting inputs for critical business processes: Opportunity projections and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP). This ensures leadership has the data needed to make informed decisions about resource allocation, inventory management and long-term business strategy.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve internal processes and workflows to enhance efficiency, customer response times and overall operational excellence, including the use of CRM systems by the complete team.
  • Work cross-functionally with field sales, business development managers, project management office (PMO) and operations team to ensure flawless execution of contracts.
  • Empower the team to make timely data-driven decisions on proposals, discounts and project approvals, thereby accelerating the sales cycle and reducing bottlenecks.
  • Ensure that the application engineering team is trained and certified on the updated product portfolios and technical solutions to drive consistent high-quality technical support for customers and to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Oversee and enforce a diligent bid qualification process: improve proposal quality and win rates, including reviewing bids to ensure alignment with business objectives and resource availability for more profitable and successful project awards.
  • Travel for business meetings and visiting the teams as needed.
  • Use and promote the use of available tools and automation efforts to improve sales efficiency.
  • Adhere to Health, Safety & Environment policies as laid by the organization.

For This Role You Will Need
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical/Instrumentation/Chemical engineering field.
  • 10 years of application engineering experience with a minimum of 2 years directing a team as supervisor or manager, handling customers and EPCs.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart
  • Knowledge of Industrial & Natural Gas Regulators, Pressure Relief Valves and process industry.
