Refrigeration Technician (Ammonia Plant)
Job summary
A leading safety solutions provider in Dubai is seeking a Refrigeration Technician to ensure the smooth operation of ammonia refrigeration systems. You will be responsible for inspections, maintenance, and repairs, crucial for optimal performance and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate should be proactive and have technical know-how to handle emergency responses effectively. This role is pivotal for maintaining the safety and reliability of plant operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and repairs on ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Monitor plant systems for performance and address faults.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company procedures.
- Oversee plant start-up, shutdown, and emergency response.
- Carry out leak detection and respond to alarms.
As a Refrigeration Technician you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing ammonia refrigeration systems ensuring the safety, reliability and efficiency of our critical processes. Your technical know-how and proactive approach will directly impact the success and compliance of our plant operations.
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs on ammonia refrigeration systems, chillers, compressors, valves and associated plant equipment.
- Monitor plant systems for performance, promptly identifying, diagnosing and resolving faults or safety concerns to minimise downtime.
- Ensure all ammonia‑related activities adhere to relevant legislative requirements, health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Oversee plant start‑up, shutdown and emergency response processes, maintaining records as required by statutory and company standards.
- Carry out leak detection and rectification of ammonia systems; respond rapidly to alarms, troubleshooting and isolating issues methodically.
