Job Summary:

As a Refrigeration Technician you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing ammonia refrigeration systems ensuring the safety, reliability and efficiency of our critical processes. Your technical know-how and proactive approach will directly impact the success and compliance of our plant operations.

Key Responsibilities – Ammonia Refrigeration Plant Maintenance & Operation

• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs on ammonia refrigeration systems, chillers, compressors, valves and associated plant equipment.
• Monitor plant systems for performance, promptly identifying, diagnosing and resolving faults or safety concerns to minimise downtime.
• Ensure all ammonia‑related activities adhere to relevant legislative requirements, health and safety regulations and company procedures.
• Oversee plant start‑up, shutdown and emergency response processes, maintaining records as required by statutory and company standards.
• Carry out leak detection and rectification of ammonia systems; respond rapidly to alarms, troubleshooting and isolating issues methodically.
