Job summary

A leading global recruitment firm is seeking a Material Controller in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The successful candidate will manage the inventory for oil and gas projects, ensuring optimal stock levels and compliance with quality standards. Responsibilities include collaborating with procurement teams for timely orders, overseeing material inspections, and coordinating logistics for timely deliveries. Candidates should have a degree in Materials Engineering and over 7 years of relevant experience. This is an on-site position with a contract duration of 24 months.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualification: Undergraduate in Materials Engineering.
  • Relevant Experience: More than 7 years in materials control.
  • Language Preference: English.

Services Description
  • Oversee and manage the inventory of materials and equipment required for oil and gas projects, ensuring optimal stock levels and efficient use of resources.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to forecast material requirements, placing orders in a timely manner to avoid project delays.
  • Ensure all materials received meet project specifications and quality standards, conducting inspections and maintaining documentation accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records of material usage and inventory levels, generating reports to monitor progress and identify discrepancies.
  • Coordinate the logistics of material deliveries, ensuring timely transportation and compliance with safety regulations in the oil and gas industry.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to meet project schedules and address any material-related issues that arise.
  • Monitor material costs and work to identify areas for cost savings while maintaining quality and project timelines.
