Job summary

A leading insurance firm in Dubai is looking for a skilled individual to support the underwriting of liability insurance risks. In this role, you will assist in assessing and managing policies while ensuring compliance with company guidelines. Responsibilities include evaluating risks, reviewing insurance applications, and maintaining effective communication with clients and brokers. Candidates should hold a relevant bachelor's degree and possess at least 5 years of experience in insurance or underwriting, along with strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

About the Role

This role supports the underwriting of liability insurance risks assisting in the assessment pricing and management of policies in line with company guidelines and regulatory requirements. The position involves working across areas such as property damage personal injury and product liability liaising with brokers and clients to gather information and help structure suitable coverage solutions. The role also contributes to portfolio monitoring and works with internal teams including claims and legal to support effective and consistent underwriting decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in evaluating and analysing liability insurance risks including property damage personal injury and product liability
  • Review insurance applications and supporting documents for completeness and accuracy
  • Communicate with brokers clients and senior underwriters to gather relevant risk information
  • Apply underwriting guidelines and company policies under supervision
  • Support basic risk assessments and contribute to risk improvement recommendations
  • Monitor existing policies and flag changes in risk for review
  • Liaise with claims and legal teams to support issue resolution
  • Maintain awareness of industry developments and regulatory changes
  • Provide professional and responsive service to brokers and clients
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelors degree in Business Finance or a related field
  • 5 years experience in insurance or underwriting
  • Basic understanding of liability insurance products
  • Good analytical and organisational skills
