Job Summary:

The Data Migration Lead will oversee and manage end-to-end data migration activities for our SAP implementation project. This pivotal role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and effective team leadership to design and execute data migration strategies that ensure high-quality, clean data flows seamlessly into the SAP ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, document, and implement a comprehensive data migration strategy tailored to the SAP implementation.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define data requirements, mapping specifications, and source/target systems.
• Create detailed project plans, including timelines, resources, risk assessments, and contingency strategies.
• Data Extraction, Transformation, and Loading (ETL):
• Lead the design and implementation of ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and loading.
• Ensure robust methodologies and automation are in place for scaling data migration efforts.
• Monitor and adjust processes to optimize performance and data quality throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Data Quality & Validation:
• Establish and enforce protocols for data profiling, cleansing, and validation to maintain data integrity.
• Design and execute comprehensive testing strategies (Unit Testing, System Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing) to verify successful data migration.
• Address and resolve data discrepancies and quality issues in collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Stakeholder Management & Collaboration:
• Act as the primary liaison between technical teams, functional experts, and business leaders, ensuring alignment and clear communication.
• Provide regular status updates on migration progress, issues, and potential risks.
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings to troubleshoot challenges and drive consensus on data-related decisions.
• Leadership & Documentation:
• Mentor and guide a team of data professionals, ensuring best practices and continuous knowledge sharing.
• Document migration processes, methodologies, challenges, and lessons learned for future reference.
• Ensure compliance with established data governance and security standards throughout the migration process.

Qualifications & Required Experience:

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data migration or data management, preferably within SAP environments.
• Proven track record in leading large-scale data migration projects with end-to-end responsibility.
• Hands-on experience with ETL processes, data mapping, data cleansing, and validation procedures.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong proficiency in SQL and familiarity with database management.
• Expertise in using data migration tools and platforms (e.g., Syniti ADM, SAP Data Services, or similar).
• Deep understanding of SAP data structures, including experience with modules such as S/4HANA, ECC, or SAP SuccessFactors.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong leadership qualities with a demonstrated ability to guide and motivate cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP Certification in relevant modules or data migration.
• Experience with additional data quality management and test management tools.
• History of working in high-paced, multinational organizations or consulting environments.
