Job description

We are seeking a full-time Finance & Office Administrator with strong Debtors management experience to join our dynamic team of Stillmen.

The ideal candidate should be able to acquire debts and pursue customers through various means until payment is collected or legal action is initiated. Additionally, the role involves providing administrative support to the management team. Must have reliable transport. This is an in-office role.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining debtors files
  • Debt collection and reporting for weekly meetings
  • Managing debtors contracts
  • Sending client account statements
  • General debtors administration
  • Collaborating with external bookkeepers & accountants
  • Liaising with clients and resolving queries
  • Filing and web services management
  • Diary management and PA duties
  • Weekly reconciliations and reviews
  • General office administrative support
  • Data entry and processing customer invoices
  • Weekly account reconciliations
  • Managing weekly payments and interbank transfers
  • Processing debit orders before month-end deadlines

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of debtors management experience
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to persuade clients
  • Professional but approachable demeanor
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent time management
  • Knowledge of accounting systems and processes
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Comfortable handling occasional disruptions
  • Attention to detail and process orientation
  • Experience with banking platforms (FNB & Netcash)
  • Experience with Xero accounting platform
  • Ability to work independently
