Global Mobility is a strategic HR function managing employee movement across international borders, supporting business needs. It includes expatriate assignments, international transfers, remote work arrangements, and cross-border employment compliance.

Job Purpose

As part of the global People Experience team, you will support Unilever's global talent strategy and drive sustainable growth through a resilient Global Mobility program, focusing on employee experience.

You will collaborate with HR Business Partners, line managers, internal regional teams, and external partners (immigration, tax, relocation services) to deliver exceptional employee experiences, especially within the Africa and NAMET regions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage moves across various policy types, including long-term, short-term, commuter assignments, and transfers.
  • Ensure a positive assignee experience by managing end-to-end processes with internal and external partners.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and manage day-to-day service operations.
  • Stay informed on local employment law, immigration, tax, social security, payroll compliance, and vendor management.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to assignments and processes.
  • Ensure payroll instructions and compliance are met.
  • Drive consistency with global policies, focusing on data integrity and compliance.
  • Seek feedback proactively and suggest improvements to enhance employee experience.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to resolve operational issues and participate in capability-building activities.
  • Develop expertise in specific areas, sharing knowledge to build team capability.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience managing various assignment types as a Global Mobility Advisor or similar role is preferred.
  • Experience working with vendors in immigration, tax, and relocation services is desirable.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders.
  • Understanding of HR systems, employment laws, and regulations is beneficial.
  • Strong technical knowledge in Global Mobility, tax, immigration, and relocation services.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High emotional intelligence and cross-cultural awareness.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and problem-solving mindset.
  • Proficient in MS Office and capable of working effectively in virtual teams.
