Payroll Administrator required in Bryanston, Johannesburg.
A leading international travel and destination management organisation is looking for a detail-focused and professional Payroll Administrator to join their Human Capital team in Bryanston.
This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of payroll administration for employees, working closely with the payroll team to process contracts, salary structures, employee records, and compliance documents.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting payroll audits, responding to employee queries, and maintaining documentation related to promotions, transfers, and employment changes, while upholding high standards of confidentiality and service excellence
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in payroll administration
- Strong mathematical and calculation skills
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Proficiency in SAGE 300 People (essential)
- Solid knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and accounting principles
- Familiarity with South African labour legislation
- Strong planning, analytical, and organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
- Good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Strong sense of integrity, honesty, and professionalism
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Submit all necessary payroll documentation timeously to the payroll team
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records
- Ensure compliance with PAYE, UIF, and other statutory deductions
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports and reconcile them with financial records
- Handle employee and external payroll-related queries, including payslips, tax forms, and deductions
- Provide VISA and staff loyalty letters as needed
- Create and issue salary structures, employment contracts, increase letters, incentive/bonus letters, and other payroll-related documentation
- Accurately process and submit changes in employee information, including addresses and banking details
- Ensure that promotion and transfer letters are completed, signed, submitted, and filed
- Review and verify variance reports
- Address and resolve ESS (Employee Self-Service) queries
