Job summary

A leading IT solutions provider in South Africa is seeking a skilled technician to set up and configure wireless devices. The ideal candidate will have a Matric certificate, preferably an IT qualification, and 1–2 years’ experience in the IT field. Responsibilities include troubleshooting networks, conducting site surveys, and providing technical support. Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience in the IT field.
• Solid understanding of Windows networking.
• Technical support experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Set up and configure wireless devices such as routers and access points.
• Conduct site surveys to analyse signal strength and coverage.
• Diagnose and resolve network issues, perform routine maintenance.
• Implement upgrades to wireless systems.
• Provide support to end-users.
• Create and maintain detailed records of installations.
• Implement and maintain network security protocols.
• Collaborate with other technicians and IT staff.
