Job summary

A leading logistics company in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Wheel Alignment Technician to perform precise wheel alignments on heavy-duty trucks and trailers. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field and a solid understanding of axle geometry and suspension systems. You will be expected to maintain equipment, complete reports accurately, and ensure compliance with safety standards. A valid driver's license is preferred. Qualifications

Job description
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform precise wheel alignment on heavy-duty trucks and trailers using computerised alignment equipment.
  • Inspect and assess steering, suspension, and axle systems for wear, damage, or misalignment.
  • Identify and report defects and recommend corrective action.
  • Maintain alignment equipment and tools in good working condition.
  • Complete all job cards and service reports accurately and on time.
  • Ensure compliance with workshop safety and quality standards.
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in wheel alignment on heavy-duty vehicles (trucks, trailers, buses).
  • Solid understanding of axle geometry, suspension systems, and chassis alignment.
  • Proficiency in using computerised wheel alignment systems.
  • Trade qualification in Diesel Mechanic or related field (advantageous).
  • Valid driver’s license (Code 10/14 preferred).
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
