Requirements
- Diploma in Warehousing, Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field (NQF 5).
- Up to 5 years’ experience in Warehousing, Inventory, Stock Control, Logistics, or Supply Chain within a Manufacturing environment.
- 1–2 years’ experience in a Supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of warehousing, inventory control, logistics, and planning processes.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, ERP systems, and job‑specific software).
- Sound understanding of Health and Safety, Compliance, and Internal Controls.
- Strong leadership, communication, planning, and problem‑solving skills.
- Customer‑focused with strong relationship‑building abilities.

Responsibilities
Warehousing Operations
- Oversee and ensure successful weekly cycle counts and monthly stocktakes.
- Ensure FIFO and Line‑of‑Sight principles are consistently applied.
- Investigate stock variances and implement corrective action plans.
- Ensure accurate receipt, coding, storage, and issuing of stock.
- Manage non‑conforming, damaged, scrap, and WIP stock in line with procedures.
- Ensure adherence to consignment stock procedures.
- Develop and maintain work instructions.
- Continuously review stock control procedures to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
- Stay abreast of developments in inventory control technologies.
Administration, Systems and Reporting
- Maintain integrity and accuracy of all data captured on SAP.
- Process credit notes, rotations, invoices, and scrap documentation accurately.
- Maintain registers, spreadsheets, and control documents.
- Ensure stationery and PPE are ordered timeously.
- Ensure health and safety checklists are completed and incidents reported.
- Maintain effective document control and record‑keeping systems.
Compliance
- Operate within established controls, policies, and procedures.
- Identify and report risks or areas of concern to management.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, financial, and health and safety requirements.
- Promote responsible use of company resources and prevent wasteful expenditure.
Customer Service
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Represent the organisation in meetings with relevant stakeholders.
- Resolve issues professionally while upholding company values.
Staff Supervision
- Ensure performance agreements are in place for all employees.
- Conduct quarterly performance reviews and appraisals.
- Identify training and development needs in collaboration with HR.
- Address employee relations matters fairly and timeously.
- Promote a positive, productive, and compliant working environment.
Cost and Financial Control
- Contribute to budget preparation processes.
- Monitor expenditure against budget and report deviations.
- Identify and implement cost‑saving initiatives.
- Ensure spending aligns with financial guidelines and controls.
