A leading investment platform is seeking a UAT Test Analyst for a 12-month contract based in Johannesburg or Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of systems through detailed testing of functional and non-functional requirements. Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of investment industry experience and familiarity with Agile methodologies and testing tools.

THE ROLE

As a Test Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of systems and applications through meticulous testing processes. Your key focus will be on analyzing, planning, designing, and executing test plans to validate functional and non-functional requirements. You will administer the testing process in adherence to defined standards, document test results, and create comprehensive reports. Collaboration with stakeholders, including business analysts, developers, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), will be crucial to deliver solutions that align with business needs.

In addition, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and optimizing manual and automated test suites, as well as ensuring the system meets performance, security, and quality standards. Staying updated with the latest testing approaches and tools will be essential for driving efficiency and innovation in testing processes.

THE REQUIREMENTS

At least 3 years’ experience investment industry experience

At least 2 years’ Software Testing experience

Experience at working in a fast paced, proactive and delivery focused environments.

Exposure to Sonata and the Investment Admin process

Ability to create UAT test plans, cases and scripts (Ability to write test documentation such as test plans, scripts and reports)

Familiar with Agile project methodology and common testing tools. e.g. Jira / Confluence / Zephyr

Strong technical skills and abilities including databases and SQL

Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Skilled at testing process and methodologies
