Temporary Pre‑Auth Service Agent MMH251121-22
Role Purpose

To effectively contribute to the Pre-Authorisation Team by ensuring that key performance indicators and service level agreements are met and that all specialist visits and in-room procedures are authorised according to protocol.

Requirements
  • A National Senior Certificate is essential (Life Sciences as a Grade 12 subject is advantageous)
  • Two years’ experience in a medical scheme client services environment with proven knowledge of customer service principles and practices is essential, alternatively a relevant health-related tertiary qualification including, but not limited to BA Psychology, Biokinetics, Human Science etc.
  • Exposure to claims and ICD-10 coding would be an added advantage
  • MS 365 proficiency is essential
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Pre-authorisation of specialist visits, specialised radiology, medical appliances and oxygen according to protocol.
  • Ensure all authorisations are completed within the specified service level agreement.
  • Accurate and comprehensive record keeping on the relevant system.
  • Report compilation and analysis.
  • Enhance member experience by providing exceptional customer service.
  • Develop and maintain productive and collaborative working relationships with peers, clients and stakeholders.
