Overview

Optimi is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Human Resource Administrator to join our HR team.

The ideal candidate must have a strong foundation in HR functions including employee engagement, recruitment, employee development, payroll support, and compliance.

You will play a key role in ensuring that HR operations run smoothly and support the company's strategic people objectives.

Requirements
  • Grade 12
  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Industrial Psychology, or related field (essential)
  • >2–3 years' experience in a generalist HR role
  • Knowledge of BCEA, LRA, and related legislation
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP)
Duties
  • Support engagement initiatives and wellbeing programmes.
  • Distribute internal communications and newsletters.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Assist with engagement surveys and related reporting.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for junior roles.
  • Facilitate job advertising, shortlisting, interviews, and offers.
  • Conduct reference and verification checks.
  • Maintain relationships with recruitment agencies.
  • Support implementation of training and development initiatives.
  • Assist with performance management and bursary administration.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of training data.
  • Support payroll and HR administration.
  • Draft employment-related letters.
  • Maintain HR data accuracy and service excellence.
  • Assist with HR reporting and resolving queries.
  • Capture and file IR documentation.
  • Support statutory reporting (EE, WSP/ATR, ROE).

This position is based in Centurion.
