Overview

The School of Science and Technology Maidstone (SST) is an outstanding school, with state‑of‑the‑art facilities, that opened in 2020. SST is extremely popular within the local community and is heavily oversubscribed. It is at an exciting point in its growth and development as September 2026 will be the year the school has a full complement of students and staff as our very first 2020 cohort become Year 13.

In January 2023 SST was inspected by Ofsted and was graded OUTSTANDING in all categories and in our first set of public examinations in 2025 our outcomes for students were amongst the very best non‑selective schools in Kent. This is a testament to the fantastic work that has gone into making this school a brilliant place to learn and work.

Responsibilities
  • Inspire curiosity and a love of learning, delivering high‑quality lessons across the science curriculum.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, sharing best practice and partnering on curriculum development.
  • Play a key role in promoting STEM opportunities both in and beyond the classroom.
  • Provide inclusive support to enable all students to have full and effective access to the secondary school curriculum.
