Store Manager - BUCO Acornhoek

Drive and grow the profitability of the store through effective management of employees, finances, and technology while ensuring efficient application of the company’s policies and best practices to exceed all stakeholders’ expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure continuity, growth, and profitability of the store by managing costs and maximizing sales turnover and returns.
  • Identify new business opportunities, take calculated risks, and generate innovative ideas for implementing new business opportunities and maximizing sales.
  • Interpret business objectives into an operating plan for the store together with the Operations Executive and Regional Operations Manager.
  • Ensure inward logistics run smoothly, products are purchased in line with the company’s procurement policies, stock levels are kept at optimal levels, and stock losses are controlled.
  • Maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Compile the store budget in line with the agreed operating plans and ensure all financial processes are monitored and controlled in line with best practices and company procedures.
  • Resolve customer complaints effectively and coordinate promotions, advertising, and public relations to enhance the brand’s market share in line with company procedures.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations, administration, customer sales and service, and overall management and control of branch employees.
  • Analyze operational data to diagnose problems and identify success areas.
  • Enhance successes and address problems with the Operations Management Support Team.
  • Inspire, motivate, guide, develop, and lead employees to meet the store’s objectives, applying company policies and best practice principles to maintain a harmonious labor environment.
  • Ensure legal compliance with all relevant legislation and take appropriate action on all legal matters.
  • Uphold and promote the company values and culture.
