Job description
Purpose Statement

Tocontribute towards the management of liquidity, interestrateand counterparty risk of the bankthrough functionally leading, guiding and providing technical oversight during the dailyoperations of the Treasury function.

Experience

Min/Ideal:

  • 3-4 years financial treasury experience with experience in:
  • Liquidity and cash management
  • Debt issuance and investment portfolio management
  • Treasury risk management and regulatory compliance
  • Treasury systems (e.g., IT2, SAP, ALM systems)
  • Financial reporting and audit coordination
  • Stakeholder engagement across departments and external institutions
Qualifications (Minimum)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting - Financial Accounting
Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)
  • Honours Degree in Accounting - Financial Accounting
Knowledge

Min/Ideal:

  • In-depth understanding of:
  • Treasury operations, instruments, and market practices
  • Regulatory frameworks (e.g., Basel III, SARB liquidity requirements)
  • Financial instruments and investment vehicles
  • Risk management principles and counterparty risk
  • Financial accounting and reporting standards (IFRS)
  • Familiarity with:
  • Treasury Management Systems (TMS) such as IT2
  • ALM systems and liquidity stress testing tools
  • SAP and PowerBI for financial analysis and reporting
