Position Overview
Voices into Africa, based in Cape Town, is seeking a dynamic and self‑motivated Speakers Sales Agent to identify speaking opportunities and secure bookings for our roster of professional speakers across nominated African and international markets.
This role is ideal for a home‑based professional who excels at relationship building, lead generation, and sales closure.
Primary Responsibilities
- Proactively research and identify speaking opportunities in nominated countries and regions.
- Contact event organizers, conference planners, and decision‑makers to promote speakers.
- Approach local and international companies and associations to secure speaker slots for in‑house events.
- Negotiate speaker bookings and close deals.
- Build and maintain relationships with event organizers and corporate clients.
- Generate consistent leads through creative and persistent outreach.
- Manage speakers across three service tiers (Platinum, Gold, Silver) and provide differentiated service levels based on speaker category.
- Conduct profile reviews and provide update recommendations.
- Match speakers to appropriate opportunities based on their expertise and tier level.
- Attend weekly meetings with Management for updates and strategy discussions.
- Provide regular activity and progress reports to both Management and speakers.
- Deliver weekly updates to Platinum speakers and provide monthly reports to Gold speakers.
- Send monthly plans to Platinum speakers and annual plans to Gold speakers.
- Maintain WhatsApp group communication for Silver tier speakers.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Essential
- High level of computer literacy (proficient in MS Office, CRM systems, online research tools, video conferencing platforms).
- Exceptional people skills and relationship‑building abilities.
- Proven sales experience or strong aptitude for business development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self‑motivated with a hunter mentality for finding leads.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Reliable home office setup with stable internet connection.
Highly Desirable
- Experience in the speaking industry, events, or conference management.
- Understanding of the African business landscape.
- Experience working with multiple clients / accounts simultaneously.
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Remuneration Structure
Tiered Commission Model: Remuneration comprises a fixed monthly retainer plus commission on speaker fees, calculated based on the number of speakers in each category.
Working Arrangements
- Flexible working hours (hours per week).
- Work‑from‑home arrangement.
- Weekly virtual meetings with Management (mandatory).
- Self‑managed schedule with accountability for results.
