Job summary

A leading global digital asset financial services group in Gauteng is seeking an experienced professional to manage the bond settlement process in Euroclear and Clearstream. The successful candidate will communicate with brokers and custodians, support risk identification, and provide recommendations to streamline operations. A degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience are essential, along with strong knowledge of financial product settlement life cycles.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Handle bond settlement process in Euroclear and Clearstream
• Liaise with brokers/counterparties and custodians to resolve settlement matters
• Support bookkeeping procedure and draft daily internal reports for bond trading
• Support operation risk identification, trade confirmation and settlement
• Primary contact for Middle/ Front office team, assist with any question related to deal execution, confirmation and settlement
• Review daily process, identify control gaps & issues, and implement procedures and solutions to mitigate risk
• Implement system modification and enhancement tasks to meet business needs and UAT testing
• Perform ad hoc assignments/duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A holder of Degree in any disciplines.
• At least 3 years of experience in bonds/security/future settlement.
• Excellent knowledge in the operation of Euroclear/Clearstream.
• Experience with HKEX/SGX is a plus.
• Highly self-motivated with good attention to details; Knowledge of excel and some programming skills are preferred.
• Good communication skills and capable of handling the night shift working hours
• In-depth knowledge of financial products settlement life cycle and the trading markets.
• Able to identify risks in operations and escalate to management
• Able to provide recommendations to management to streamline processing or minimize operation risks.
• Good critical thinking and problem solving
• Good command of written and spoken English.
