  • Manage trade statuses and requirements.
  • Maintain broker settlement details and brokerage rates.
  • Monitor front office trades for STP settlement.
  • Compile incident reports and maintain process controls.

Settlement Officer Established fund services team seeks a Settlement Officer to join them.

This is a strong and stable team, looking for suitable candidates with no less than 2 years' experience in a similar role within fund services, wealth or similar with experience with international markets, and specifically equities, FX and collective investment schemes.

Responsibilities
  • Capturing / processing, matching and settlement of trades to the accounting system
  • Ensure trades are matched between client notification and counterparty confirmation
  • Ensure reconciliation of the managers notification and counterparty confirmation
  • Sending settlement instructions to custodian for all trades
  • Managing status of trades and requirements
  • Maintaining broker settlement details, contact details and brokerage rates
  • Monitoring of front office trades to ensure STP settlement into the accounting platform
  • Compiling of incident reports and assist in implementing and maintaining process controls
Requirements
  • Minimum of a completed tertiary qualification either Commerce / Investments / Economics or similar
  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a Settlements role in Fund Services / Investment / Wealth Management environment
  • Solid understanding of the financial markets and instruments essential
  • Knowledge and experience on both local and international markets
